PUI conference

On September 20, a conference “Challenges of Lithuanian Industry” organized by the Plungė Union of Industrialists was held at the Plungė District Municipal Public Library. As the model of the circular economy and the Industry 4.0 revolution is becoming more and more famous in the world, it is very important to understand the challenges facing Lithuanian industry. Whether this will mean the end of the business or new opportunities and prospects for development will depend on the ability to move towards digitalization and use of new technologies.

The President of the Plungė Union of Industrialists Antanas Borumas thanked the invited guests: member of the Seimas Jonas Varkalis, Mayor of Plungė District Municipality Audrius Klišonis, Administrative Director of Plungė District Municipality Mindaugas Kaunas, Head of the Strategic Planning and Investment Department Žaneta Piepalienė, Dean of the Plungė Parish Vytautas Gedvainis, also the speakers at the conference: Executive Director of the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists Ričardas Sartatavičius, Director of the Business Environment and Economics Department of the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists Raminta Radavičienė, and Kęstutis Masalskis, Chief Specialist of the Innovation and Industry Department of the Ministry of Economics and Innovation, who talked about the future challenges of business and industry.We would also like to thank the wonderful and talented performers of Plungė Mykolas Oginskis Art School for their excellent performance, and the director of the Plungė District Municipal Public Library and the whole team for their help in organizing our event.

Only these will be successful in the long run who are able to adapt to the changing environment and take advantage of the opportunities that arise win.
